Quinn..Magnani : Friends or Foes ?

Trivia
The secret, as in this movie's title, The Secret of Santa Vittoria, was that Anna Magnani and Quinn did not get along. During the fight scene when she literally kicks him out of the house, she kicked so hard she broke her foot.

I know you should take the 'Trivia' items with a grain of salt. According to TCM's Robert Osborne they were good friends . Anyone ever read anything as to which is true??
