The Secret's Not Particularly Worth Hanging Around For
Stanley Kramer made some great films and later in his directorial career, some pretty ordinary ones of which this is an example.
Near two and a half hour "comedies" rarely work, unless they are rib - ticklingly funny like his previous It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World. This is most definitely not, whilst at the same time not being particularly dramatic in nature either.
Some of the ideas in the film may have worked in a wittier, much shorter movie, but IMO, whilst this story may have been a labour of love for Kramer, you're in for a pretty laborious time sitting through it.🐭
