Vincent Prices's high water pants bothered me the most

It's the scene after the youngish blond doctor sneaks into Price's house. Price comes into his study and takes off his blazer. He walks around wearing these blue trousers that are much too short for him. I know it's a low budget film, but so low budget that they couldn't find pants long enough for the leading man?

I think Vincent Price is so attractive. But the highwaters got to me :-)
