The big woman in the cave ?

I only saw the movie once a long time ago, I barely paid attention, but one of the few parts I remember was at the end where this fat woman with,dirt/make-up all over her body is in a tomb/cave with this guy then she lays down and he starts humping her, Who was she supposed to be in the movie? what's the actess name?

she cured him of impotence!

I think that was Enotea - she was the one who was shooting fire out of her, ah, womanhood due to a curse. She was played by Donyale Luna.

reply

Yeah, the original firecrotch.

As nearly as I can figure, the story of Oenothea that appears in the original Petronius' first-century Roman novel is based on an authentic North African myth, though who knows how much Petronius may have altered it to his own artistic purposes. It's been a very long time since I read the book, so I don't even remember how much Fellini altered it in his turn. In the movie, she appears both as a slim, gorgeous young maiden, her pre-cursed state, as well as the enormously obese creature she becomes after she is cursed by a male witch. As you can read in other postings on this board, the actress who played the beautiful maiden went on to do other work in films.

No she didn't play Enoeta, that was a smaller woman......also I was wondering the tobacconist with the big breast in Amacord, did she have a small part in this movie? Because if you look closely at the scene toward the beginning when the man and the man/ woman are walking together though that hall with all those weirdos in the rooms, theres' a big woman with reddish hair sitting down naked with her back to the camera, but her head is turned, so you could only see a quick glimpse of her face, and she looks alot like maria antoinetta beluzzi.

Maria de Sisti who was an uncredited extra in Italian movies around that time is listed as fat woman.
