deserves a proper anamorphic widescreen DVD release!!!!

This film (like a lot of other Claude Chabrol 60s and 70s masterpieces) really deserves a proper anamorphic DVD release (instead of the mediocre, letterboxed one that Pathfinder released)

Just out of curiosity, how is anamorphic different from letterboxed?

simply put, a non-anamorphic (therefore letterboxed) widescreen DVD has a much decreased resolution on a widescreen television

agreed,
and the dvd i had was a lousy transfer, everytime there was movement on the screen, the image became blurry and slightly pixalated.
