Regarding Sandy And Miss Brodie, ...

... it's obvious that many here are bothered by the fact that the former betrayed the latter by behaving like a backstabbing snitch.
What if S had gone first to B and told her openly what she thought about her and her actions?

I don't think it would have made any difference. Miss Brodie had such a good opinion of herself that there wasn't anything anyone could have said.

but she did

Jean just stayed in shower and refused to answer the door

this was a very serious situation where a teacher [with a totally air filled head] has totally deserted her role as a teacher and even signed her own warrant by DEPOSING that "I am in the business of putting old heads on young shoulders" which has nothing to do with teaching but was just a way to PROXY all these girls into her own sex starved life.

she had to be stopped and Sandy was brave enough to do that, and in a way that had all the RESPONSIBILITY that was lacking from Brodie.

Teddy explains to Sandy there are plenty like Brodie in Edinburgh but NONE but Brody has wormed her way [and pathetic false life] into a school and let loose on young minds.

the ironic part was she claimed "... and she will be mine for life" and thankfully [but too late for Mary] Sandra became her Albatross for life, as no good Reference from school meant no job again with kids.

so in Kubrick terms "She sure was cured" [stopped].

It was all fun and games until the plot point where Brodie wanted Jenny to become the art teacher's lover. Couple that with the fact that the art teacher actually had an affair with one of the students. Ugh. Then it got very disturbing. These are the people who are supposed to nurture and protect young girls, not manipulate and pimp them out. I wish the art teacher had gotten what was coming to him - either his wife finding out or being fired.
