Any other films that sat unreleased for 20 years before seeing the light of day?

I know what you mean, but lots of movie books and websites (IMDb and Leonard Maltin included) insist on using the date a film was first "screened publicly", not the date it was completed or copyrighted. On the other hand we have a film like Ed Wood's "Night of the Ghouls" listed here as 1959 when it wasn't released until the 1980s, so go figure.

I tend to agree, but then IMDb would have to establish a policy about how long a film can sit unreleased before the "completion" date is used. Ten years?
There's a similar issue with The Dead Talk Back (1993), which was shot in 1957 but was shelved for nearly 40 years.
