I've read on Wiki that when (at the very end) "They (Marianne and Jean-Paul) look out through the window at the swimming pool, then embrace as Inspector Lévêque and the Gendarmerie arrive." The version I saw has no inspector Leveque or gandarmerie. Did someone messed it up on Wiki?

Just watched it today. There was no inspector in my Netflix version either.

The movie ends with Marianne and Jean Paul looking out through the window and nobody arrives, but even with Inspector Leveque supposedly arriving, that could not change anything because he couldn´t find any evidence, all he has is pure speculation.
My Blu-Ray ends as Wiki describes - there is also an alternative ending in the special features which is virtually the same!?
I can hardly tell them apart except that the alternative has much more background noise!
