Three years later...it's on DVD in Region 1. I got it from Netflix.

In 2008, this film was released by Lionsgate in America as part of a DVD box set of films featuring Alain Delon. This film and others in the set are available from Netflix, which is where I got it, and is probably available from Blockbuster as well.

La Piscine has now been issued on Blu-ray in France. It's a very good BRD with excellent picture quality. Obviously there is the original French soundtrack but there is also an English language version which includes a completely useless additonal last scene, missing from the French language version.
