What do you make of this movie? (Obvious spoilers)

Why did Jimmy bury the trumpet? Was he dead from the beginning? How did Ahmed die? Wasn't he just recounting a tale from the past? Crazy stuff.

This movie was a trip, and I'd like to get some other points-of-view on it. Thanks.

That's why you and I don't see eye-to-eye sometimes, Jack; because you're a man of science.

I couldn't get past the first 15 minutes.......if they repeat the movie i'll try again.

If you couldn't get past the first 15 minutes, you'll never get past the last 15 minutes...

I found it to be way too long, much too ponderous and self-important, and most of all, boring. There was no "direction" to speak of, and there are way too many loose threads at the end of the film. It tries to be trippy, but when half the film consists of close-up face shots and no dialogue, you're not creating drama, you're vamping for time because you've got nothing else to shoot, like a script.

Clipping toenails is more erotic than this film. Sorry, but like, this just wasn't my bag at all man, you dig?

Why bother, this was just a piece of Eurotrash soft porn, gussied up like a quasi existential thriller and you're not supposed to look for any hidden meaning or symbolism. I spent most of this movie chuckling, about the deadly seriousness with which the most laughable situations & dialog was being presented.

Greetings,

All true, though I'll take Kinski in anything. To be he is simply a valkuable commodity.

A clue is when he phrases it as "I buried my horn."

I just thought it was like every other Jess Franco film I've ever seen. Soft porn trying to disguise itself with a paper-thin plot.

"Hey! Ladies! That was fun!"

Drivel.

I thought it was a strangely hypnotic and trippy blast of 60's psychedelic weirdness.
