Don't understand it. How did Maurice make it too the doctor without being seen by Helen? (Carrol Baker)

Helen was drunk and psychologically fragile due to Constance's murder. I guess she was sleeping when Maurice went to the doctor.

It's the scene at the tower. She leaves in the car. The detective hears a gunshot, finds the tower empty and thinks he's dead. How did he leave the tower without being seen?

that was susan at the tower. it was a fake shooting to frame helen. helen wasn't anywhere near the tower. what movie did you watch?
