French Prostitutes?

Does anyone find it unsettling that hundreds of men in this film sing a song about how they all want to sleep with one or more of just six women? And despite the six women being prostitutes that doesn't excuse their abduction by an entire town of horny men.😕🤔

Wow...you are right! If you think those French "Bawds" looked bedraggled at the end of the wagon trip...imagine them at the end of the night!

They were en route to one whorehouse they'd never seen, and wound up at another. I think it was all the same to them.

Given the fact that this movie was produced during the "Sexual Revolution", not really.

Consider this: "The Graduate" (1968) was all about some guy STALKING the object of his desire.

"Don't call me 'honey', mac."
"Don't call me 'mac'... HONEY!"

They were dozens. And they were potential customers.

Not really abducted that much. They were going to Sonora to do the same kind of job, Sonora being a place they had never been to before. So the only difference is what town they would be plying their trade in. It looked like Willie was a benevolent boss, so they may even have traded up.
