Any other Saints fans on this board??. I've never seen this movie, but Charlton Heston as a Saints QB can't be any worse than Billy Joe Tolliver, Richard Todd, Heath Shuler or any one of about 85 other horrible quarterbacks I could name who've played for the Saints.. I liked one of the "user comments" that one reviewer left on this board:

Charlton Heston is painfully miscast as a veteran quarterback who won't accept that it's well past time for him to hang up his spikes. Very few of his teammates look like football players. The melodrama concerning his relationship with wife Jessica Walter borders on the hysterical. Another humorous facet is the continued reference to the New Orleans Saints as perrennial Super Bowl champions even though they had never even won a playoff game until last year, their 36th year in the league."

....IMO there need to be more movies featuring the New Orleans Saints and their colorful history, and I'm sure there will be after Reggie Bush takes the Saints marching in to the Super Bowl.......

...okay so, so far Reggie's been a disappointment-- but the Saints WILL reach the Super Bowl this year.

The Saints had a good QB in 1969, Billy Kilmer. He had over 2500 yards and 20 Td's which was good back then. He of course 3 years later led the Redskins to the Super bowl. The main reason George Allen traded for him in 1971 was because he almost beat his Allen's Rams by himself.

It's playing now on this-TV. I had never heard of it.

Saints crapped the bed in week one, losing to the damn Falcons. Gave it away.

Lol im watching it also on this tv. In about two weeks the Saints will disembowel the Cowboys my home team. Back when this flick was made the Cowboys were a good team I really miss that. Always been a Manning fan great Qb bloodline!

Am still watching the movie been enjoyable. Saints are a good home team they rip Vikes on Sunday
