A colossal waste

Franco's directing abilities to me, have always been over-rated. He made the serious error of focusing the story not on Christopher Lee's judge, but on the damsel in distress and her fiance, the names of whom, I can't really remember. When Christopher Lee is on screen, the film shines. But the scenes of torture, and the idiotic inserted scene of the Judge running his hand over the body of the girl (definitely not Christopher Lee's hand) are just that: Idiotic. So many things don't fit into the story. The battle scene. The torturing of the girls. Even the deleted scene was silly. It's good to see that Lee moved on from this stuff.

you don't believe that chris lee's hand was lovingly caressing and exploring the alluring body of maria rohm? her delicate, supple, exquisite flesh quivering and tightening under his late-teen boy-hands is too hard to fathom?
