Can someone confirm the ending for me?

Girly is off to get a new friend, Mumsy is knitting in the chair, New Friend is hiding weapons under his pillow... then it just abruptly ends. Is that really what happens or is Netflix jacked up?

It should end with the camera zooming out on the house and the rompy music playing after New Friend says "All the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put humpty together again."

It is a somewhat strange and rather abrupt ending, but I think the implication is that New Friend is going to whack Mumsy and keep Girly for himself. Or maybe do away with the both of them. The play that it's based on likewise ends in a very abrupt and strange manner.

I don't think it was his own pillow he was hiding the acid/needle under but Mumsy's... expecting that she'd be along shortly since Saturday was her day...

Also, as Girly goes off to the playground Mumsy says to her, "Watch yourself" and Girly replies under her breath, "... and you watch YOURSELF."
It's almost as if she knows full well what New Friend is about to be up to... and that she will soon have him all to herself.

and would apparently not have to work anymore. He gets a young, hot petite in the bargain. He probably didn't like his other girlfriend very much anyway, otherwise he would not be drunk out of his mind when they appear in the story. His dark girlfriend seemed to be a real bitch. Girly is 15 or more years younger than he. So she is a little crazy. Newsflash: every woman is a little crazy.

I hate endings that leaves u hanging... I want to know or at least see who gets murdered next.

It's still a lot better than the play's ending-- Mumsy and Nanny poison Girly and New Friend (called "Chick") so they can have a lesbian affair without anyone to question them. The curtain closes on Mumsy laughing at Chick and Girly writhing around on the floor in their death throes as a cackling Nanny walks in carrying a shovel.

I suspected that Mumsy and Nanny were gay so that ending sounds a lot better to me. It doesn't leave you hanging.

Not unlikely, but I prefer the film ending. New Friend outwitting them is more interesting.

But who pays the bills and does the shopping?

I thought the movie ended a little more ambiguously than that, with none of the characters really sure of what was going to happen next. New Friend had caused so much dissent in this previously united household that the survivors were now looking warily at each other whilst he prepared to have the best of both worlds (sexually) and was simultaneously ready to take extreme action if required (the needle). The conclusion was that New Friend was now pulling the strings, a total reversal of the status quo in place at the movie's start.

Very well put. The conclusion I reached is that New Friend has become the authority figure, but the ending allows several interpretations.

Pretty sure it ended with new friend taking out Mums and ending up with girly. Girly for the first time takes mumsy's rocking chair as replacement, really making quite a statement there, whispers to momsy that it's she who should watch out and finally we have the new friend likely waiting for mumsy's Saturday visit armed with the needle and acid. Girly killed to keep him safe earlier and he was always concerned for her especially after she took out her brother, so it was unlikely that he and her would turn on each other.

My take is that Girly knows that new friend is going to kill Mumsy and she will have him to herself. I also think new friend wants to run the show afterward.
