I liked it

With so much criticism of the film on the boards, I just wanted to throw my two cents worth into the pot. Just watched the film last night, for the very first time, and I enjoyed it. It doesn't matter to me if everything in a movie is perfect, realistic, factual, etc. (uh, except for documentaries, of course). When I want to face the world of reality I turn on the news. When I want to be entertained I put on a good movie.

The story is simple enough to understand. I like actor David McCallum. OH, and it wasn't quite a predictable as I thought it would be. Began viewing it, thinking that I knew how it would end; surprised that there was a nice twist to the plot.

Maybe it's not a great film, but it's a good film. In fact, I would recommend this movie to fans of David McCallum as well as those interested in war films that have a nice story, but aren't too intense.
