Canada

Anybody know why Munroe had the word "Canada" on his battledress? He wasn't Canadian, grew up with Scotty's in England, and was a friend of Scotty's even before the death of his parents, wasn't a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, and wasn't sporting any recognizable Canadian accent. I just... ummm.... wondered...

Total mystery to me too. You've got the perfect British actor to play the lead in a British movie, he's popular in America NOT playing a character from North America...and yet there it is on the patch on his shoulder. I mean, there's not even any other reference to it.

Weird.

I think the character was an imposter who stole the uniform from a Canadian officer he found drunk in an alley in London after having a tuppeny upright with a Piccadilly commando.
