Who introduced Buffalo Springfield?

I've only just seen the Criterion release of this after seeing only clips 14 years ago, but I swear I saw Micky Dolenz in the audience. And then watching the 'outtakes' my mind is set that Peter Tork introduces Buffalo Springfield.

Were the Monkees at Monterey?

I can't find any mention of them on these disks, but I know I saw those frakin' Monkees!

Also… if they were there, am I missing a performance somewhere, or other appearances by Mike or Davy?

The Monkees didn't perform, but Micky and Peter attended. Peter did indeed introduce Buffalo Springfield, as he and Stills were pals from Greenwich Village, and were in Buffalo Fish, which was a pre-cursor to Buffalo Springfield.

If I remember correctly, it was Peter Tork of the Monkees.

You did see Micky in the audience at the end of Ravi Shankar's performance - his blissful face is always one of the high points of the movie for me.
