I am a big Jacques Demy fan and am dying to see this movie. Does anyone know if it will ever be released on video?

I completely agree with John Krieger. I was a "roadie" for Spirit during the production shoot and I must agree that this movie really captures the "spirit" (sorry) if not the "flavor" of the late sixties. For those of us who lived during this era, we remember the angst, the sometimes utter hopelessness that we felt about the Vietnam war, helpless really, when we were ignored by the politicians. This movie really captures that feeling of not knowing what to do, what not to do and how random life can be... The acting is superb and any movie with Anouk Aimee...well, what can I say. I thought that with Jacques Demy's passing that his oeuvre would all come out on DVD as a retrospective but so far that has not happened. Maybe someday...
