Coolest move in the movie.

It is the scene where the gentleman escort comes out of the escort service and Hoffman walks over and picks the address from the man's pocket as the man is getting into a cab. The move comes as the cab is pulling away Hoffman pulls out a match, strikes it against the departing cab's side, and lights his smoke with it... all in one smooth motion. Anybody else thinks this is cool?

I couldn't agree more!!!! Especially when Rico pretends to pick something off the escort's shoulder as he picks his pocket. Love how he asks for a quarter then when the cab leaves strikes the match, lights cig and gives the Italian jesture to him.

I just saw the movie a few nights ago on Encore. I watched again because I have it recorded on a DVD-R. The "striked match on cab" is still fascinating on Hoffman's part. I wonder how long it took for him to perfect that?

I love the scene where he slips he laundry in with the lady's laundry, "Oh, you got a lot of laundry here". Cool the way he played it.

I agree. You had to watch him carefully to catch that one.
