My dad wanted to show me this movie one night, so I watched it. I'm fortunate that I survived. This movie bored me to death. It is extremely slow pace, and when it got to the end, it was so slow, it made me feel like I was slowly suffocating with them.

That is a good point, I never thought of that.
"You just keep thinkin' Butch. That's what you're good at."
Of course that doesn't really make for good story telling, especially in a movie that starts out like an episode of Nova... wait, that's totally unfair to Nova, their opening credits are way more entertaining.
