Forgotten movie? DVD needed!

I remember seeing this on TV many years ago and I have never forgotten it...Stella Stevens gives a great performance and that scene when the dog finds a gruesome memento of a murder really made me jump...why is this not available on video or DVD? It seems that just too few people know about it, which is a great shame.

Since "Ladies in Retirement" was recently on TCM, it got me thinking about this movie. I had never seen "Ladies..." but saw "The Mad Room" as a kid in the theaters and remembered being scared out of my wits by the movie.

So I went on Netflix to add "The Mad Room" to by queue and was surprised and shocked to find that this title is unavailable...

I would love the chance to see this movie again - to see if it holds up to my memory of it.

You can sometimes find a copy on Ebay. I ordered one but the quality was so dark if I had not seen the movie before, I would not have known what was going on. Luckily, the seller gave me a refund. Good luck.

I agree! There should be a set of those old TV movies put into a boxed set for those of us who remember them fondly- I was so scared when I saw this, and I would just love to see it again! As a young teen, the weekly movies, like the ones on ABC were great, they should dust them off and put them on DVD...and soon!

I just scored a DVD on e-bay--it's obviously a copy and the colors are a bit faded, but since I have not seen this movie since it was on the late night horror show in the mid 70's, and I I collect Stella Stevens movies, I was happy to add it to my collection. I agree with a previous poster, release it on DVD with commentary by Ms Stevens, and I will happily buy it again. LOVE the over the top 60's hairdo's on Stella.

I've never seen or heard of this film, but it's going to be showing on the MOVIES channel tonight twice, for anyone that's interested. I like horror films, and not sure if I've ever seen one with Stella Stevens (just saw her in THE NUTTY PROFESSOR, which was great) so I'll check it out.
