Really Enjoyed the Film

I was recently fortunate enough to see this film in Tokyo, Japan as part of the Tokyo FilmEX, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I thought it was very well crafted and hilarious. As an American I had little exposure to Brazilian cinema, but through the film festival I was able to see quite a few Brazilian films including several of Andrade's. I was quite impressed with what I saw.

What/who are some other interesting/entertaining Brazilian films or directors that I should watch?

Try: O Pagador de Promessas, Tropa de Elite, Deus e o Diabo na Terra do Sol, O Cangaceiro, Terra em Transe, Pixote: A Lei Do Mais Fraco, Boleiros.

Dont forget Barren Lives (Vidas Secas), Cidade de Deus, Carandiru, Casa de Areia, O Cheiro do Ralo, Cinema Aspirinas e Urubus, Cidade Baixa, The Greatest Love of All, O homem que copiava, and so many others...
