Who would you like to see in the American version of this film? I'm thinking that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis would be perfect.

Audiences don't like watching real-life couples on screen.

Plus, there's way too much talking in this movie, and talking about philosophy at that, for a standard Hollywood movie.

I can't imagine an American version - especially today! However, if one were to be made - hmm, perhaps a Kyle MacLachlan as Jean, Linda Fiorentino as Maud, Jeff Goldblum as Vidal, and an unknown slightly round blonde actress as Francoise.
