Hugh Heffner and Don Knotts

The movie The Love God is actually the story of Debauchery Demi-God Hugh Hefner. Don Knotts does an extraordinary job as the porn prince, and given that this movie hit the big screen one year before our 70's awakening to a hip culture, Don Knotts Love God opened the door of dialog for sexual acceptance.

Don's other notable works such as The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, The Reluctant Astronaut, Shakiest Gun in The West were a part of the fake praise era of
"Brownie You're Doing a Heck of a Job".

The story was always the same, an incompetent underdog, who was given extraordinary responsibility is society such as piloting a billion dollar space craft filled with hydrogen, over our heads. Don portrayed this same character in The Andy Griffith Show as Barney Fife.

Which is why some people didn't care for The Love God because it was one of the first movies that ushered us out of the piousness of the good ole fashioned falsehood of wholesome life.

It was an awakening which made us question why Lucy and Ricky had to sleep in separate twin beds or why three healthy males never craved anything accept coconut creampie from Mary Ann and Ginger.

The Love God was the precursor not only for Playboy Magazine and our sexual revolution, but open expressions of freedom of speech in every aspect of our lives, from music, attire, and honest political, religious, and racial dialog, all of which were serious subjects in The Love God.

We were becoming individuals, free from the guilt trips of the Global elite and their mind control.

And for the first time on any tv show when we heard a toilet being flushed on All in The Family, it signified that We The People had enough of their s..t!

The Love God was the precursor not only for Playboy Magazine ...
If by "precursor" you mean 'released almost 16 years after Playboy magazine was first published' then sure, whatever. But I suppose you don't have much time for fact checking, what with shopping for asbestos underwear to be buried in, considering your username has you halfway there already.
