PG-13?

If the PG-13 rating wasn't around before 1984, how is this film PG-13? Was it rated after the fact for the Don Knotts "Reluctant Hero" DVD Box set? And if so, why are the other three films (Ghost and Mr. Chicken, Reluctant Astronaut, and Shakiest Gun in the West) "UNRATED"?

At the time there were four ratings: G - M - R - X. "The Love God" was rated "M" (Mature Audiences – Parental Discretion Advised, But All Ages Admitted).

It might have been resubmitted to get a more family friendly (sounding) rating.

Since the M rating (The original MPAA rating for The Love God?) is a defunct MPAA rating, in order to get it into line with the current MPAA ratings, movie companies will submit the film to be re-classified.
