Unusual + Interesting Movie

I've seen this movie over and over and well I liked it. It is one of these unusual stories that somehow still work. The contrast between the leads, age, appearance and personalities works out fine along with the realistic reactions of the folks around them but the strong love makes this movie practically feel like a Romeo & Juliet like setting. Lola is exciting, funny and you get involved with the likeable characters playing. The ending is like a sudden death which leaves you feeling disappointed.

I think perhaps this film works because Bronson's character genuinely loves Lola, which is why he leaves at the end.

No, it was Lola who left him. She left a message on the blackboard and left Mouse with Scott. She goes to Central Park where she whirls around on top of a rock and declares I divorce thee, 3 times.

Ah yes, sorry. It was on as I was writing (at 2am), but I fell asleep before the end. In any case, it was obvious that there was genuine affection there, rather than cold hearted exploitation.

I was liking it too, up until I dozed off after 30 minutes into it. Forgot to hit the timer on the VCR, in case that did happen.
