Come Winter
I just finished the sequel and found it just as fascinating and engaging a read as Last Summer. Maybe it's because unlike when I read Last Summer, which I did after having seen the movie, I didn't know what was going to happen and was on the edge of my seat, but I think this one was even more disturbing. The final thirty pages or so are positively chilling. I found a copy on abebooks for only about $5, so if you haven't read it I suggest you try to hunt it down, it's well worth the effort. I think I read somewhere that there had been plans to film this book as well, but I guess they fell through which is a shame since I think the film version of Last Summer was just as effective as its source material.
Has anyone else read the followup? Any thoughts on it?
