BF 109s (Hispano Buchons)

I noticed in the Aerial battle scenes that Hispano Buchons were used to portray Spitfires with very inaccurate camoflage scheme and markings. I was intrigued to know if tis film was made just after the BOB film and that these aircraft are the same as used in that film.

VERY late response, however I happen to be watching this film right now.

EOL was made five years after BOB. However, all the planes flown for BOB were genuine, sourced and restored by the production team, with dummies standing in for aircraft parked on the ground.

"Duck, I says..."

The ME 109s were in British RAF Markings and the Spitfires were in German Markings.

The Hispano Buchons in this were ones which were used in BoB as they still had the modifications that were made to them specifically for that movie- fake machine guns on the cowling, clipped wings, struts on the rear tailplanes, three blade propellers, etc. It was only a year a so after BoB was released and I assume these ones were still in Europe- quite a few were bought by the Confederate Air Force and shipped to the USA.

Trust me. I know what I'm doing.
