When I was a kid, we had this running prank where you would come up to someone in the school yard and innocently ask: "What's east of Java?" The other kid would ask 'what?' and you would stomp on their foot real hard and say "KRAKATOA!"
shareAs a fifth grader in the early 80's, I remember a field trip to some old broken down one-studio movie theatre where us kids were forced to watch this. The only thing I remember is the huge fireballs spewed out by the erupting volcano, and the one that came crashing right smack down on top of that Asian chick in the boat. I remember a friend and I joking about that scene afterward, as the dumb bitch just froze and looked up at it as it came crashing down onto her. We wondered to ourselves, if anything, why didn't she at least try blowing on it before it hit. Just saw that scene again on TCM. LOL
