Let's go Turin!!

According to http://www.theitalianjob.com/cars_coopers.htm there's six original movie minis that still may be there in some garage in Turin. It's kinda hard for me to go , but for anyone with the resources I encourage them to go out and find those humankind treasures. Please!!!

According to the book (The Making Of The Italian Job), even if there are any remains left of the MKI Mini Cooper S used in that film, there won't be much left apart from a few twisted wrecks.

Hang on lads - I've got a great idea! When I return to the Aosta region in July 2009 I'm going to spend two days walking around under the switchbacks where they dumped the Minis out the back of the coach. My mission is to find a bit of wreckage - there MUST be a small bit of metal that they didn't clear up! Okay, so it won't be a WHOLE Mini of course, but WHAT a souvenir THAT would be to have! I'm also going to look in the ravine where the Mafia met Charlie. Anyone want to meet me there? Middle of w/c Monday 13th July 2009. Location details under my photos at .....

Well?
Did you find anything?

While a nice dream, the chances of those cars or wheels being forgotten in a garage for 40 years is zero. Turin is a big city where real estate, garages and parking are at a premium, and have always been. Nothing gets forgotten for that long.

Actually I still got some hope after watching some tv show where somebody discovered a Dusemberg car wich was in a grage for like 70 years, and they restored it and sell it to Jay Leno.

Anyway the 3 Mini Cooper S have now been recreated and also wear the original number plates too: -
