I saw a butchered version of this ages ago.


I don't know what happened, but my guess was the network's copy was screwed up.

I had read the book adaptation of the short in 3rd grade thanks to my teacher, but the version shown on TV really did butcher it:

some examples:

1) They cut out the scene of Snoopy driving the bus.

2) The last thing that is actually shown of the episode, is Snoopy's reaction after Lucy cries foul at the wrist-wrestling tournament.

3) There is no final scene of Charlie Brown wrapping up his writing of his essay, or in getting the final grade.


Instead, after Snoopy reacts to the wrist-wrestling tournament, the network then cut to a segment showing Snoopy singing the 'It's Suppertime' song...which always confused me: the story goes to him at camp, and then at home singing. WHAT!?

Needless to say, I still have never seen what I believe to be the full episode to this day.
