Blu-Ray release?

After seeing this film mentioned in "The Story of Film: An Odyssey" I immediately ordered the dvd from my local library only to find a shoddy transfer with mediocre sound. Now maybe if the film had a 90 minute runtime I could put up with such non-sense but for 200 minutes I want to see this in the best presentation available.

So, does anyone have any word on if blu-ray of this film will get a release in the foreseeable future?

Its gonna be hard to clean it up to bluray standards, given the source, and time period

It's not hard, all films look better on Blu-ray, also old films and all films can be restored from the 35mm negative or dup or whatever.

Just announced by Masters of Cinema in Region B, to be released in January!

I've just finished watching the newly released Blu-Ray from Masters of Cinema/Eureka. Absolutely glorious restoration. Don't miss out on that one.

I haven't watched the Blu-Ray yet, but I saw a theatrical screening of the restored 4K and the image looked stunning.
