Cut Scene, anyone ever see?

My Mom was in this movie when she was really young and used to dance, and there was a scene where Barbra Streisand holds the hands of two children, a boy and a girl, and crosses the street with them. My mom has a picture of it stashed somewhere, she was the little girl. I haven't ever actually watched the movie but she says the scene got cut. Has anyone ever scene a version containing anything like this? Just curious.

Her title was "Girl in front of shop" or something. Thanks.

How can you not have seen this movie if your own mother was in (or cut out of) it?
If my mother had anything to do with the movie, I would make sure I at least watched it or owned it.

Just sayin...

Because she got cut out of it...

I've seen the majority of the movie, just not all the way through, I just want to know if its possible to find the scene. My mom doesn't talk about it a lot. Instead of asking me questions can anyone reply with a helpful answer?

The DVD of HELLO, DOLLY! contains all the scenes that were in the film's original 1969 release print (at least, the one that I saw a number of times at Grauman's Chinese Theater). Of course, there were a few "alternate takes" you can watch by clicking on this link -

And here's a fun moment caught between camera set-ups for "Put On Your Sunday Clothes" -

If there were any deleted scenes, maybe we'll see them in a future "Collector's Edition" DVD.

In 1968 my sister was a babysitter for two kids who were extras in HELLO, DOLLY! "It was fun!" they told her. "There was a big parade."

"And did you see Barbra Streisand?" my sister asked.

"Who's she?" they answered.

Ya gotta love it.

Thanks! I appreciate the links. Maybe one day I can find it.

I saw this movie twice when it first came out.

I've seen it many times since it came out on DVD.

I don't remember any scene with Babs taking the hands of two children - nor can I think of a story point or shot that would have involved that (Dolly is always focused on matchmaking and mixing adults - not child-rearing, not even in the opening number "Just Leave Everything to Me" or "Dancing").

That's not to say the scene was never shot. I certainly believe your mother.

I just think the shot was excised from the final release print.

I also remember the original (thick) program for the film.

My friend had it and it contained all sorts of staged shots that had nothing to do what was in the film - or at least the way scenes ended up in the film.

Maybe your mother was part of a publicity shoot during filming?
