Blurred out magazine

Would anyone happen to know what the magazine is that the sleeping bartender was reading in the scene right after the opening credits? On the dvd it is blurred out. Thanks.

Appears to be a Hustler.

Haven't seen the movie, but it's not a Hustler. "Gypsy Moths"is a 1968 movie, and IIRC Hustler started about 1975.

May be a "Scientific American", but probably not.

Hi All,

Funny thing; I had the same question myself and kept pausing and rewinding the DVD (about 20x) to try to read the cover.

It definitely resembles a porno, and it definitely ends with an "R" and starts with a 'T' or a 'P' or an 'H.' I'd guess 'Hustler' myself, but as one of you pointed out, that started in the mid-70s, around 1974. (Not even the Hustler Newsletter began until '72). It appears to read "super" or "purer." But the first letter is not an S. Maybe 'Hooker?" Or 'Tiger'?

There is a flaw in the "blurring out," so that if you pause it at the right moment, you can see the image. It is undoubtedly a blonde woman, topless, clutching another person to her chest! She appears to be breast-feeding a child! If she weren't posed seductively, I might guess that it is a magazine on child-rearing.

The only flaw in that explanation is the kid looks like he's about 6 or 7 years old.

I had always thought it was a PLAYBOY magazine. Don't know which issue. The movie came out at the end of August 1969, and was filmed the previous summer, so it would probably be a 1968 spring or summer issue (of whatever magazine it was).

I'll have to take another look at my DVD copy.

I slowed it down too and saw basically the same thing; a busty sexy blond clutching a 7 year old boy close to her chest. Lucky little bugger!
