This is one of the few films that the MPAA rated "M":

Rated M: Mature Audiences – Suggested for Mature Audiences (Parental Discretion Advised)

At the time, there was also the "R" rating. This caused confusion, so "M" became the MPAA's new equivalent "GP," soon revised to "PG." The "M" rating only existed in 1968 and 1969.

I thought this was interesting, as I had never heard of the "M" rating before!

Butch Cassidy was rated 'M'. I remember that from way back.
