3-star Colonel?

I thought it was strange for a Mexican colonel to have three stars like an American lieutenant general, but they actually do. Generales* in the Mexican army have one to four stars plus an eagle like the one on the flag.

*BTW, there is no such word in Spanish as federale, singular is federal and plural is federales.
