The best actor in this movie, even though the dialogue was stilted. Always enjoy his performances.

A late reply - SPOILERS

Richard Jaeckel also appeared in the OUTER LIMITS episode SPECIMEN UNKNOWN, which had a very similar plot. Only it was killer plants which could quickly reproduce and spread.

In the OL ep. Jaeckel's character is wounded and taken away to the hospital, dropping out before its conclusion. Isn't around at the end.

In GS, he is killed off before the end.

Pretty strange coincidence.

What's with his sunburn, though? He's quite red and a bit shiny at the beginning of the movie...
