Honestly not very impressed

Sad to say but I will not be re-watching this film anytime soon. I cant exactly say why but it was unable to keep my interest. However with that being said, my favorite part by far was the very brief dialogue after the final duel between the spy and our protagonist. It is these philosophical "talks" that keeps me coming back to our friends in the east. The ambiance and aesthetic appeal in these films are astounding, true art, the drumming in the background, the faint snowball and just the overall grimness really stands above the silly explosions and nonstop gunfire we see in Hollywood.

All in all I do not recall seeing one smile, and for me at least, that makes a powerful movie.

That's a strange review, Joker, in that you seem to like everything about the film, for all the right reasons. Give it another try.

You're wrong.

I guess the pacing was a little too slow for me but honestly I can always find something to complain about so maybe I am wrong.

An eastern movie that I want to see made and would love would be a live action film similar to the Samurai Champloo series. It would have ambiance, humor, seriousness, character development, excellent fight scenes and a soft side, but that is probably asking too much.
