The statuette - who is it?

There's a ancient figure, the statuette Mrs Chips gives to Mr Chips as a wedding gift, I believe it was. Does anyone remember who the figure represents?
I haven't seen this movie since it came out in '69. During the intermission they gave us 8.5x11 glossy booklets of the production, etc. It was terrific.
I am not a fan of musicals, but the woman with whom I was dating went to see this and Oliver!, that came out round the same time I believe.
Both are my favorite flix of the late 60s, except for 2001 - A Space Odyssey.

To see two hippy-college students dressed, relative to how we used went out, attend this movie must have been a sight for the other cinema goers. Even my date's mom thought we musta flipped. We looked & acted & thought as hippies, but we had knew how to dress appropriately when we went in mixed company. Gotta love the old Ivy League education.
Mea culpa for my too-long walk down Nostalgia Lane USA.

Thanks for any help.
