The Pet Clark Society says mid-2006 til early 2007. Long time to wait but I am eager!

At the Warner chat on feb26 they said that GOODBYE MR CHIPS will not be out until 2008.

I would imagine that they are working on it, because of the "Turner" 3 disc CD soundtrack that was released about 18 months ago. It is usuly the case that they do this when they are working on a film restoration.

I'm beginning to worry about the edition that is to be released... Warner isn't even saying if the film will be in Widescreen... or if they will utilize the 6 track stereo sound...

It's got to be, since its the complete roadshow edition. I'm still gonna keep my taped copy from TCM just in case though...

I checked the DVD box on IMbd and it referred me to Amazon. They say itis in the works but not released yet. But, you can put your email address on Amazon and they will let you know when it is available.

I just got it on Tuesday, 01/27/09, from Amazon. It's all I remembered. I used to sing the Brookfield Song, "In the morning of my life..." to my kids as part of our night time ritual.

I don't know why there's no region 2 disc but you can hire or buy it from iTunes. I'm downloading it today.

The DVD is available from Amazon UK or can be watched through LOVEFiLM as a streaming download. I got mine from a US-based film duplicating store several years ago after seeeing the film (again) on a UK VHS tape. It still makes me cry.
