Mariette Hartley

It was so nice to see lovely Mariette Hartley sporting two navels. Roddenberry certainly worshipped the women on his shows.

She is a beautiful woman. I will never forget her in that Twilight Zone episode where she falls for the astronaut who is going on a journey for 50 years or so (can't remember the length.)

Her lone TWILIGHT ZONE was "The Long Morrow," and she did some belly dancing in COLUMBO's "Try and Catch Me."

Don't forget the TV commercials she did for Tollhouse Cookies...

And what a voice, too...

I remember her from star Trek as well. Zarabeth in All Our Yesterdays. And in those Polaroid commercials with James Garner.

Mariette was quite the warrior queen in this film. Her transformation from the sweet gentle Pax caregiver to the horse-riding, stym-wielding house mistress was something to behold.

But for me it was Lynne Marta as Harper-Smythe that stole my heart. Her whole unisex thing just made her seem more irresistibly sexy. God what a woman!
