Whose Saucer Was That?

Just watched the film for the first time--and MST3K-less--on a Bad Movie Night. I probably shouldn't be thinking about this so much, but whose saucer was that? You know, the kids basically hijack a flying saucer that landed right down the street. Was it sent by the alien go-go dancers to lure anyone who can press a button? If not, that means there's some extra aliens who haven't even gotten a second of screen time.
