So... the cow is probably a metaphor for the Iranian cinema.

It's like... they kind of love it. And call it names, and take care of it, but it dies. And the filmmakers have to be very careful about breaking the news, because the viewer would be very sad. Am I the only one, who think Gaav just accidentally became a perfect example of it's own storyline, in the context of the Iranian cinema?

Pretty interesting interpretation. I've been wondering about it myself. Also there is a book in the Qur'an called "the Cow".. (according to wikipedia). Anyone else have interpretations?
