What struck you about 'The Cow' or 'Gaav'?

I'm just curious to know what viewers who watched the film thought in general about this movie, favourable or unfavourable. Thanks.

I'll say, after reading about it by luck, I decided to see it, and wasn't disapointed. Great critical look of a community, one that feels like a folk tale. Is the village responsible of his descent into madness? You feel so. And the principal actor is very, very great.

Good insight. I would agree with you. Though, it left me with a very strange, uneasy feeling. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. But, it definitely had a strong emotional impact, so I suppose that I'd say it was a good experience. Very unusual film indeed. Thanks for responding.

Look, people who "don't know if they like something or not" CANNOT be helped. Is it better or worse than losers who "aren't sure about their sexuality"? Really, it's all the same - stop burdening yourself and the world around you with pathetic doubts about what YOU THINK OR FEEL ABOUT SOMETHING... Please, the more people that come into responsible, intelligent adulthood, I hope our world will (in turn) have a better chance at lowering the "injustice rates". Okay, so you cannot understand how everything is connected - please don't waste too many resources in the meantime - you waste of anti intellectual space :)

In the top 20 of my movie picks and for all the right reasons. A good story, a story of madness, moral scruples, Third World social pecking order, a desert encompassing a habitated dry village. Seems like a story passed down through time; you'd never know it was 1967 or 1367. Timeless elements of town sages and village idiot, town bully, and the playing children. Just a damn good movie.
