James is great in this!!

i just got a copy of this and it's a pretty good movie actually. James is very sexy as usual and Raquel is pretty good too. it was typical 70's fare with gratuitous nudity but it fits the theme of the movie so...

This movie was filmed in 1969. Doesn't really have any nudity in it...just skimpy mini-dresses and gyrating go-go girls in bikinis. It is good movie if you like movies that are so bad they are good which this definitely is...EVERYONE OVERACTS...especially Raquel.

You must have seen an edited TV print. There is definitely topless nudity in this in several scenes.

It does have a few topless shots. I was a little surprised by that considering it was 1969 and it was a major film studio, MGM, that released it and not some Roger Corman-ish cheapie production company. I wonder how they rated it back then?

There were no ratings yet in '69.

Original movie posters for "Flareup" show the film was rated M (Mature Audiences Only). The DVD is rated PG-13, the equivalent of an M!

There is nudity (topless go-go dancers) in the film, but in the trailer, these women are wearing bikini tops.

Incorrect. The MPAA ratings classification system began on 11/1/1968. The original ratings were "G" (for general audiences), "M" (suggested for mature audiences), "R" ( no one under 16 admitted without a parent or adult guardian), "X" (no one under 16 admitted). The age limit for "R" and "X" rated films was raised to 17 in 1970. In practice however, theatre operators could set a higher age limit and many did. In the Chicago area where I lived the age limit for "X" was always 18 and many theatres in Illinois used 18 for "R" rated films as well.
