i heavent seen this movie but as a cat lover and native san franciscan
it is of interest. although i have recently read one description that
says they "try" to eliminate the cats. do they succeed? i probably don't
want to see it if they do.
No, they don't try to 'eliminate' the cats, at least not in the original theatrical version.
Early in the film, they do take the cats away from the house by car (presumably to dump them off somewhere), but they don't 'eliminate' the cats.
Perhaps that was what the description you read meant to say, but they phrased it poorly.
