One of the WORSE movies ever made

It's a wonder Faye Dunaway's career ever survived this disaster!
And as for Alan Alda, I'm sure this was deleted from his resume when Fox was casting M*A*S*H!

Well, at least it isn't the WORST.

reply

i believe the terminology should be: one of the worst movies ever made.

but it isnt so bad. definitely for cult film fans and those with exceptional tastes.

dont float the mainstream.

reply

It wasn't that bad.

I am on the road less traveled...

Yes it is that bad. A typical Vietnam-era war "comedy" like Kelly's Heroes or MASH, but far worse. Mickey Rooney is incredibly annoying.

Just watched it on TCM. In fact, never heard of it before this viewing. Only the description of it being about a "spirit" made me give it a chance. Not the most offensive movie although most of it made no sense. Faye Dunaway annoyed me because her role was obviously a "lets add a female" role. I did find the injection of old war footage interesting though.

reply

Agreed, not nearly as bad as people are saying.

Those WW2 public service announcements sprinkled throughout the film were actually pretty interesting.

This film was definitely bad but is certainly far from being one of the worse films out there. I should know. I've seen some really bad stinkers.

I just tried to get through "We Are Your Friends" with Zac Efron and couldn't get to the half way point. At least this one I watched the whole thing.
