Watched it recently...

Watched it recently... Had never seen it before... It holds up well as a movie about that period and about that kind of idealism, both in how misguided it was at times as well as how worthwhile it is...

It even works in terms of the themes of individuality and conformity... The ending makes the movie, in a symbolic way...

But seeing it today... Far removed from that historical period, i feel the movie can be seen with some detachment... it seems less an idealised version of what people talk about and more of a snapshot of a particular moment... I think it gives the film more depth...
