Coffee Shop scene

You can really feel how uncomfortable the three of them are made to feel in that coffee shop, however I don't like when you can tell the actors are just local town people who just happened to be there and were given lines. Now I really know very little about the making of this film but something about the actors in that scene just feels really fake. They are so bad it just takes you right out of the scene. I know it was a very limited budget but they couldn't get any real actors to just sit there and deliver those lines? Also it's really silly when the teenage girls follow the three of them out and they are acting like they are meeting movie stars or something, it just seems really fake and forced.

I would guess that last parts is because that's essentially what the girls are doing.

I think it is perfectly plausible the way the girls acted. They were stuck in a small town with a bunch of hateful squares, then a couple cool strangers roll in on badass bikes...I've seen it happen, not quite as extreme, but motorcycles get a lot of attention.

Yeah I agree with you, what was it that it said on Ken Keseys bus ' We have come for your daughters' they don't like it.
